Planning is officially underway for our biggest Flo’s Day yet. Tickets are now live, our huge inflatables are booked, and we’re bringing together stalls, entertainment, raffle prizes and plenty of family fun.
We’re currently looking for volunteers, stallholders, local businesses and generous prize donors to help bring the day to life. Every person who gets involved helps us honour Flo and raise more for RUN DIPG and Sleapy’s Foundation.

Flo’s Day was created in memory of our beautiful Florence Joan Turner, our funny, fearless little girl whose joy filled every room. Flo died from DIPG in April 2024.
We turn our love for Flo into action: a day full of colour, music, play and community, helping fund research into this devastating childhood brain cancer and practical support for local families.
In her memory, we chose to donate the tumour that stole her from us, hoping that it might one day lead to a cure for others facing the same cruel fate.
Though Flo’s physical presence may be gone, her spirit lives on in our hearts and memories. She is the laughter in the wind and the warmth of the sun, a constant reminder that love transcends all boundaries.
Florence Joan Turner, our eternal Princess Flo, will forever be the light that guides us through the darkness.

Where the support goes
Flo’s Day supports breakthrough research and practical care close to home.
Founded by Professor Matt Dun, RUN DIPG funds world-leading research to find better treatments for this underfunded and devastating childhood brain cancer.
Professor Dun received the 2024 Australian Society for Medical Research Medal.
Sleapy’s Foundation gives practical, compassionate support to local families affected by cancer, helping ease financial pressure when life is at its hardest.
Founder Peter Sleap was named Newcastle’s 2026 Citizen of the Year.Online donations currently support RUN DIPG. Flo’s Day also supports Sleapy’s Foundation through event fundraising as we work to enable direct online support for both charities.

We want every supporter to understand where their money goes and how information shared with Flo’s Day is handled.
Flo’s Day is a community fundraiser, not yet a registered charity. Online donations made through the linked MyCause campaign currently support RUN DIPG. Flo’s Day also raises event funds for Sleapy’s Foundation. We will publish updates as arrangements and distributions are confirmed.
Only eligible gifts made to a deductible gift recipient may be tax-deductible. Tickets, raffle entries, merchandise, food and other purchases are not donations. Please retain your official receipt and seek tax advice if required.
This website does not currently collect personal information or process payments. Ticketing and donations are handled by Humanitix and MyCause under their own privacy terms. We seek appropriate permission before publishing identifiable event photographs, particularly photographs of children.
